IPA Announces Speakers for 2009 Business Development Conference

Sessions will address the economy, hiring, technology and more.

IPA, The Association of Graphic Solutions Providers has announced its lineup of speakers for the upcoming Business Development Conference, January 29-30, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

This year’s conference will include a panel session on The Premedia Buyers’ Perspective, featuring Kathryn Siegling, vice president marketing for Mattress Firm, Andrew J. Young, vice president marketing for McCain Foods, and Deb Pierce, director of package design & graphics for SUPERVALU. Also included is a CEO Roundtable, titled: The Premedia Leaders’ Perspective. Panelists include: Hank Baughman, president and CEO of SGS International, Matthew Gonnering, CEO of Widen Enterprises, Chip Harding, president of Harper House, David Schawk, president and CEO of Schawk, Inc., and Dan Stillwell, president of LAgraphico.

In addition, a featured keynote session titled, The Empowered Client: Unlocking the Possibility, will include Joe Duncan, senior vice president of Leo Burnett who has served clients such as McDonald’s, Kellogg and Nintendo.

Sessions addressing the economy, finding the right talent, and impact on the industry will include keynote speaker, Robert C. Fry, Jr., Ph.D., a senior associate economist for DuPont Corporate Plans, and Keith Mahoney, president of The Human Factor LLC, respectively.

A panel sessions focusing on how to integrate and profit from the latest technology will include Steve Pfeffer of CGS Publishing, Bob Barbera of Kodak, Larry D’Amico of Pitman, Mark Sullivan of Presstek, and Marian Stefani of Red-Tie Limited and M.J. Anderson of Trekk Cross Media.

Other panel sessions include Role of the Print Production Manager, featuring Jamie Mandarino, Director of Sales for The Caps Group Chicago and Greg Hides, Director of Print Production for Ogilvy Chicago; Solution Selling Case Studies lead by Patrick Morrissey; Successfully Managing Office Facilities presented by Marie Tirado of Vertis, Sustainable Growth-The WalMart Effect lead by Trish Wales of Roloc color; and Multi-Channel Communications, presented by Barbara Pellow of InfoTrends.
