Things you wanted to say to frustrating clients, but didn’t.

“Is He Cheap?”

I got a call from the girlfriend/assistant of a famous movie star who had just won an Academy Award. She went on and on about her girlfriend relationship to the movie star. She felt I should print her backdrop for an upcoming fashion event because of the relationship at a discounted rate. I asked the assistant, “Are they not doing so well? Has something happened? Is he cheap and won’t pay to help get your prints done? I read he made millions on that movie. Are you in put in a bad position having to haggle for him?” I wore her out. She answered, “Just email me the invoice.”
