Ilford Imaging's new Century E (ICE) wide-format, RA-4 resin-coated paper is designed to optimize the reproduction of color photos on digital photo imagers from Oce, Durst, ZBE, and Kodak. Available in glossy and semi-matte finishes, the paper offers improvements in highlight rendition, shadow reproduction, text clarity, overall contrast, and print longevity.

According to Ilford's John Placko, the paper's advanced emulsion technology provides increased density in the red portion of the characteristic curve for more neutral shadows and cleaner blacks. The D-Max density is greater and overall contrast has been enhanced while retaining a high degree of neutrality throughout the contrast range.

ICE products also use a Tri-level Stabilization Protection (TSP) technology to protect images against oxidation. Ilford's Century E papers are available in 30-, 40-, and 50-in. rolls and are not compatible with analog enlarging systems. (Ilford Imaging: wwww.ilford.com)
