At Graph Expo 2016, HP booth 1825 will showcase the industry's broadest portfolio of graphics solutions, including the latest HP Indigo digital presses and large-format printers, which enable print service providers (PSPs) to expand their offerings and grow their businesses. The HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press, HP Indigo 7900 Digital Press, HP Indigo 5900 Digital Press, HP PageWide XL 8000 Printer and HP Latex 3500 Printer will be available for in-booth demonstrations.
The HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press provides high productivity, outstanding print quality and wide media versatility for nearly any commercial application. The 29-inch, 7-color press delivers smooth and sharp prints that match or even exceed offset quality. The on-press Optimizer tool uses artificial intelligence to enable non-stop printing, and the Automatic Alert Agent conducts real-time print quality error detection. The HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press supports a wide range of substrates, including canvas, synthetics and metalized media, with One Shot technology, extending unique, high-value application opportunities.
The HP Indigo 7900 Digital Press is the market-leading digital sheetfed press, offering high performance, superior print quality, simplified color matching and an expanded application range. The 13 x 19-inch press uses advanced software and hardware to produce perfect color uniformity and tailored print quality modes. On-press priming expands the application range to enable printing on virtually any paper, including offset stock and specialty papers, and One Shot technology further extends the press’s media options to include canvas, synthetic, lenticular, dark and metalized media.
The HP Indigo 5900 Digital Press is the leading choice for medium-volume print service providers. The press offers high print quality, media versatility and enhanced productivity. One Shot technology expands the HP Indigo 5900 Digital Press’ media range to include uncoated and coated papers, canvas, synthetics, lenticular, metalized, dark and transparent media and paperboard as well as extra thick substrates. With the press, print service providers can offer plastic cards, photo canvas, metalized cartons and specialty products as well as panels, labels and clothing tags.
HP PageWide Web Press print samples will be on display, demonstrating improved print quality enabled by High Definition Nozzle Architecture Technology. High Definition Nozzle Architecture Technology for HP PageWide Web Presses provides PSPs breakthrough print quality, versatility, reliability and productivity. The High Definition Nozzle Architecture printhead doubles the native print resolution of current printheads and supports dual drop weight per color for sharp text, fine lines, accurate skin tones, smooth gray and color transitions, and enhanced highlight and shadow detail.
The HP PageWide XL 8000 Printer delivers the fastest large-format mono and color printing with up to 50 percent savings in total production costs(1). The printer enables reprographic houses, PSPs, enterprise central reprographic departments and print corners to produce computer-aided design drawings and will open new business opportunities with geographic information system maps and point-of-sale applications. The HP PageWide XL 8000 Printer does the job of two printers in one at breakthrough speeds up to 60 percent faster than the fastest monochrome light-emitting diode (LED) printer(2).

HP will also feature the HP Latex 3500 Printer at Graph Expo. Ideal for standardized workflows, the 126-inch HP Latex 3500 Printer handles high-volume, dedicated application production, boosting productivity and reducing production costs. With heavy-duty roll handling up to 660 lbs. and 10 liter ink supplies, the printer enables more unattended operation, such as overnight printing. Additionally, dual-roll split spindles offer easier, safer handling of oversized rolls; in-line slitters reduce bottlenecks in finishing; and built-in LED lights support on-the-fly proofing.
HP display areas in booth 1825 will highlight unique applications enabled by HP digital printing technology. HP will also host in-booth happy hours on Sunday and Monday.
(1) HP PageWide XL 8000 printing at up to 30 D/A1 pages/minute for large-format printing of technical documents, GIS maps, and point-of-sale (POS) posters compared with printers under $200,000 USD as of March, 2015 including 36-inch wide LED printers (printing up 22 D/A1 pages/minute) and printers based on Memjet technology (printing up to 800 D/A1 pages/hour) based on internal HP testing. Production costs savings based on HP PageWide XL 8000 Printer compared with a combination of a monochrome LED printer and a color production printer, both under $150,000 USD, as of April, 2015; testing criteria and production cost detail assumptions available upon request.
(2) With a maximum linear speed of 23 meters/minute (75 feet/minute), the HP PageWide XL 8000 Printer is 60 percent faster than the KIP 9900 printer which, at 14 meters/minute (47 ft/minute), is the fastest rated LED printer as of March 2015.
