HP has announced a new HP Latex 300 Printer Series of printers, as well as two new Designjet printer models.

The new HP Latex 300 Printer Series comprises three printers aimed at the small- to medium-sized print service provider, as well as sign shops and quick printers. All three models utilize HP 831 Latex Inks designed for scratch-resistant output, as well as the company’s HP Latex Optimizer, engineered to rapidly immobilize pigments on the surface of the print to allow for higher productivity, reports the company. All three Latex 300 models feature a CMYKcm inkset and a top resolution of 1200 dpi. The three new HP Latex 300 Series models include:

• The HP Latex 310 Printer: An entry-level 54-in. model, it features an SAi FlexiPrint HP Basic Edition RIP, front-media loading, and more. Top speed is 517 sq ft/hr (174 sq ft/hr Outdoor Plus Quality). A takeup reel is optional. List price: $16,449.
