HOW, a creativity and business magazine for graphic design professionals, is sponsoring two competitions:

12th Annual International Design Competition: Graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, and students worldwide are invited to enter their most original works in HOW's 12th annual International Design Competition.

The Best-of-Show winner wins a trip to the 2004 HOW Design Conference in San Diego. All winning entries will be featured in the International Design Annual and some may be posted on the HOW website.

Entries are sought in 15 categories, including annual reports, brochures, posters, wearables and letterhead/logos. The original graphic design must have been created between January 1, 2002 and September 1, 2003. Entries must be postmarked by Sept. 15, 2003.

5th Annual Interactive Design Competition: This competition is open to graphic designers, interactive designers and students who created CD-ROMs, kiosks, DVDs, web banners, motion designs, or self-promotional, business-to-business, or consumer websites. Projects must have been created between Jan. 1, 2003 and Nov. 1, 2003. Entries must be postmarked by Nov. 10, 2003.

The Best-of-Show winner will receive a $1000 gift voucher from Design Within Reach. Ten Outstanding Achievement winners will each receive a $100 gift voucher. Winning entries will be showcased in HOW's August 2004 Interactive Design Annual.
