IN STATES THAT HAVE legalized marijuana, cannabis dispensaries must have a substantial “wow” factor that separates them from their competition. That’s where Gamut Media in Fullerton, California, makes their mark. Higher Vision Dispensary in Palm Springs, California, needed five cohesive installations to transform the feel of their retail space. Gamut Media delivered by installing graphics that sparked the space and enticed customers to spend more time in the store.

Gamut Media printed the project using a Roland DG VersaCamm VS-640i printer and Roland DG OEM inks onto 3M Controltac Print Film 40C and finished it using 3M Matte Laminate. The two focal points of the installation are a 260-square-foot wall of cannabis quotes from celebrities and a 300-square-foot throwback photo of Palm Springs, which required special editing from the print shop. “Many of the images the client requested of ‘Old Palm Springs’ were very low resolution,” says Phil Yu, creative director, Gamut Media. “So, we had to use many graphic tricks and filters to scale the images to fit the very large walls without losing much detail.” The floors had also recently been finished, so the team had to be careful not to damage them. After a meticulous installation process, the end result has received high praise.
