According to an item in the Digital Art Supplies newsletter, Hahnemuhle plans to offer a lower-priced 110 gsm, natural-white artist matte proofing paper that has the same inkjet-receptive coating as its more expensive papers.

Digital printmakers who want a hard-copy “preview” of how their finished print will look can simply output the image on the new art-proofing paper and save the more expensive paper for when they have achieved the look they desire. The paper will be available in 8 1/2- x 11-sheets and 24-in. rolls. (Digital Art Supplies: www.digitalartsupplies.com)
