The GraphicEdge Conference for graphics educators will take place April 8, at North Central State College in Shelby, Ohio.

The conference – geared toward Ohio educators from high-school, career-center, and two- and four-year colleges — will center on “harnessing creativity within the classroom and beyond,” and will feature presentations on printing technologies, Adobe CS5, typography, animation, and video/audio. In addition, Avery Dennison Graphics will present a vehicle wrap-installation. Keynote speaker Jane Piirto, Ashland University’s Trustee Distinguished Speaker, will be speaking on “Understanding Our Creativity.”

Although attendees are primarily college, high-school, and career-center educators, says Lynn Damberger, conference coordinator, “anyone who is related to graphics education is welcome to attend.”

Registration fee: $50. For more information, contact: Lynn Damberger at North Central State College, [email protected]  or Bill Delgado at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center, [email protected].
