GMG Launches 44-in. ProofPaper

GMG, the German-based software company, has introduced GMG ProofPaper semimatte 250 in a width of 44 in. GMG ProofPaper semimatte is a 250-gsm paper with a semi-matte finish; the paper is specifically designed for contract proofing. It features a high brightness and neutral white point, no optical brighteners, and a homogeneous coating. The finish ensures that the ink is optimally absorbed in the paper, GMG reports, preventing over-inking and blotchy buildups, and allowing for sharper dots.

The Fogra-certified proof paper can be used with many printers, including various Epson and Canon models as well as2007the Mutoh RJ 8000 and Roland FJ 500. In addition to contract proofing, the paper can also be utilized for photographic and fine-art reproduction.

The GMG ProofPaper semimatte 250 paper is available in sheets (A2, A3+) and in rolls (13, 17, 24, 36, 42, and 44 in., all x 100 ft. on a 3-in. core).
