GMG has released several new products and product updates, including its ColorServer Wide Format, ColorServer Plus, DotProof XG, and updated its InkOptimizer and ColorProof products.

ColorServer Wide Format color-management software is designed to allow users to achieve uniform color results across different manufacturers and models of printers as well as ink technologies. An incoming file is transferred to a broad, controlled working color space, available for repurposing across different color standards upon output.

The files are sent to any calibrated printer, with color management turned off in the RIP, to avoid alternation of color, reports GMG. ColorServer Wide Format includes GMG’s SmartProfiler, which calibrates and profiles output devices, and the Barbieri Spectro LFP RT spectrophotometer.

In addition, GMG debuted:
• For HP Indigo presses, its ColorServer Plus color-management software: Ensures that Indigo 5000, 5500, and 7000 presses achieve and maintain compliance to GRACoL specs. The software includes all components necessary to fingerprint, profile, and manage an Indigo press.

• DotProof XG: Enables users to capitalize on the expanded color gamut of the Epson Stylus Pro x900 and HP Designjet Z3200, allowing more spot colors to be simulated in a halftone proof.

• Updates to its InkOptimizer and ColorProof products: InkOptimizer 4.6 integrates Adobe PDF Library through which all files are now processed, providing correct interpretation of PDF files, eliminating the need for manual checks, and reducing transparencies. ColorProof o5 boasts a new Workflow Overview, providing a graphic representation
of the complete system, including hot folders, associated workflows, and printers; every job is displayed in the user interface. Other capabilities improved include remote and soft proofing, load balancing, and more.
