As part of the 2016 Girl Scouts of Orange County STEM Consortium, Roland DGA will hold two days of “Design with Technology” workshops for local Girl Scouts at its headquarters in Irvine, California. Junior and Cadette troop members will have the opportunity to use Camm-1 GS vinyl cutters to decorate backpacks with personalized graphics, MDX series milling machines to build circuit boards, and MPX-90 printers to imprint photos onto metal dog tags.

The initiative, which encourages young girls to take interest in science, technology, engineering, and math, presents the troops with the chance to earn one of two badges: STEMsational Me! for Juniors (grades 4-5) and My STEM Life for Cadettes (grades 6-8).
