GCC, better known for cutting plotters and the Sign Nautilus, has now entered the UV-curable world with the launch of the new StellarJet 250UV flatbed/rollfed printer.

The 98-in. printer is both a flatbed and a rollfed printer; as a flatbed, it can accommodate media up to 98.4 x 98.4 in. and up to 2-in. thick. The StellarJet utilizes 6-color+W (CMYKcmW) UV-curable inks.

It offers resolutions from 360 x 360 to 720 x 720 dpi and can print up to 1033 sq ft/hr in 1-pass mode and 259 sq ft/hr in 4-pass mode. Other features include an automatic ink-tank refilling system, and an automatic media-thickness auto calibration function.

Delivery on the StellarJet will be Q1 2006.
