GBC SurePrint Additions

GBC has added two new media to its SurePrint inkjet media line. Both feature a water-resistant coating, bright-white surface, accept dye or pigmented inks, and handle both thermal and piezo print technologies. Designed for short-term signage, neither requires lamination, however users can add Arctic UV Cast overlaminates for longer-term use.

“? SurePrint Outdoor Scrim Vinyl is a 21-mil matte, tear-resistant polyester media with two white vinyl layers for 95% opacity. Due to its high tensile strength, grommets can be added without sewing. Applications include a large hanging sign such as stadium banners, building signage, and street banners. Available in 36-, 42-, and 50-in. rolls.

“? SurePrint Adhesive-back Vinyl is a 3.5-mil matte calendered vinyl with an aggressive permanent adhesive and 90% opacity. It will create a permanent bond to virtually any mounting substrate and is designed for sidewalk signs, counter and floor graphics, and P-O-P displays. It is available in 36- and 50-in. rolls.

In addition, GBC has extended its warranty to cover these product combinations:

* SurePrint Select vinyl media and Arctic Select, both made of polymeric calendered vinyl, for outdoor use warranted up to 3 years.

* SurePrint Choice media and Arctic Choice, both made of cast vinyl, for long-term outdoor graphics. This combination is designed for use with solvent and mild-solvent printers.
