GBC Intros New Laminators

GBC introduced two new laminators at
Print 05″?the Falcon 3064WF and the
Orca 4064WF. Both are 64-in. hot and
cold laminators that accept media up
to 1-in. thick. In addition, both feature
bidirectional laminating, two inline edge
slitters, temperatures up to 300″?, film
shafts that swing out for easy loading/
unloading, fold-down/removable front
and rear feed tables, a swivel control
panel, and a foot control pedal.

Both units offer GBC's Advanced Electrical
Safety System, designed to protect
the operator when running jobs from
either side of the machine. The system
consists of a fiber optic detection (for
full obstacle detection”?especially to
protect operator's fingers when feeding
a job), dynamic braking to immediately
stop the rollers, and a dual processor.

The Falcon 3064WF features oneunwind
and one-rewind rollers and speeds
up to 18 ft/min in either direction.

The Orca 4064WF will run at full
speed in either direction and laminates
at speeds up to 20 ft/min. Its rollers
are independently heated, and it offers
three rewind and three unwind rollers, as
well as pressure presets for consistency
from job to job.
