Teamwork makes the dream work, right? “Yep!” says Maggie Harlow, who has built a strong and successful business based around the excellent team she has working for her. Since opening Signarama Downtown in 2003, Maggie has not only established the franchise into a successful business and pillar of the Louisville community, but she’s also become a valued thought leader among her industry peers.

And because of the team’s success, she’s now able to work part time and enjoy things that make her work/life balance ideal. Her family’s Doodle, Raybo, goes to work every day. She’s an avid gardener, tennis player, and artist.

“I have an incredible team, so I get do a lot of volunteer work as well as spend time in my art studio,” she says. “My husband Brian is the ideal partner. He says he is the brakes and I’m the gas in our business. We love our employees so every day I look forward to solving issues side-by-side with them and celebrating success. We have an incentive for our team each week. If we are on pace for our monthly goal at noon on Fridays, we close for the day and all employees are paid for a half day off.”
