Three new books on digital photography were released in recent weeks:

Digital Photographic Capture,by Glenn Rand, David Litschel, and Robert Davis: Explains in-depth how to conceptualize, find, compose, and capture a successful image. While the book hits on the basics of digital capture (tools, sensors, lenses, image creation, exposure, workflow, files, light balance), it also addresses some of the finer points as well. Its final chapter deals with “hybrid” digital photography, an approach that meshes film with digital capture, and addressing the various challenges with this technique (dynamic range, color gamut, and workflow).
