(PRESS RELEASE) LUTZ, FL — Fluid Color, in collaboration with ColorByte Software, has introduced ImagePrint UV with Pedestal AI, a RIP platform designed for AI-driven 2.5D printing and ADA tactile signage production on UV flatbed workflows.

Pedestal AI analyzes standard artwork and automatically generates height maps and texture data within the RIP environment, converting flat graphics into layered ink structures without complex file preparation or manual channel building.

ImagePrint UV also includes tools for ADA-compliant tactile signage, managing raised characters, braille dots and tactile symbols through controlled UV ink stacking, eliminating secondary fabrication steps. Specifications include:

  • Raised character heights of 0.031 to 0.037 inches through controlled ink stacking
  • Domed braille dots built to ADA and Grade 2 braille spacing standards
  • Precise tactile layout positioning for characters, pictograms and braille translation
  • Repeatable ink layering for durable tactile readability

“Pedestal AI changes how dimensional and tactile UV printing can be approached,” said John Pannozzo, president of ColorByte Software. “Working with Fluid Color systems allows us to control height, spacing, and ink layering directly in the RIP using AI, giving operators the ability to produce textured graphics and ADA-compliant tactile elements with consistent, repeatable results.”

The RIP supports TIFF, JPG, PSD, PNG, PDF and SVG file formats, automatically managing spot channels and ink builds. Applications include ADA signage, dimensional décor, textured graphics, art reproduction and specialty printed products. Integrated cut-path generation supports laser, drag-knife and tabletop cutting systems.

ImagePrint UV with Pedestal AI is supported on Fluid Color UV flatbed printing systems.
