Flint Group Acquires Xeikon

Creates new digital printing division.

Flint Group has acquired Xeikon, a manufacturer of digital label, folding carton, commercial, and document presses, as well as front-end software. As part of Flint Group’s new division, Flint Group Digital Printing Solutions, the acquisition will help Flint expand its global reach; Xeikon was originally headquartered in Eede, the Netherlands.

Headquartered in Luxembourg, Flint Group is a privately held company serving the printing and packaging markets. It manufactures inks, blankets, flexographic equipment, letterpress machines, pigments, and more. The company reported revenues of $2.9 billion in 2013.

The transaction should be complete by the end of 2015.
