To benefit teenagers stricken with cancer, Eli Reichman Photography (eliphoto.com), the Midwest Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and InteliCoat’s Museo Fine Art brand banded together to initiate a three-session workshop covering photography and inkjet output for a group of six participants ranging in age from 13 to 17. The second meeting of the workshop took place in a park in Kansas City, Missouri, where each participant paired with a professional photographer, who served as a personal mentor for the day.

This photograph of Nikita (a pro photographer’s daughter) was taken by Ashley, who, at the time, was in treatment for her cancer. The image was output onto Museo Portfolio Rag at 8 x 10 inches using an Epson 7880 printer with Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks. Several 16 x 20-inch prints also were produced for the participants and for inclusion in a small showing by the society. InteliCoat donated all media used in the three workshops.
