Extensis is now shipping Suitcase for Windows, providing font management for workgroups and single-users running Windows Vista, Windows 2000, or Windows XP.

Suitcase for Windows features the company’s Font Sense-powered auto-activation plug-ins for professional layout and illustration applications including Adobe InDesign CS2, Illustrator CS2, and QuarkXPress 7. Font Sense technology allows Suitcase to match and automatically activate the exact versions of fonts used in a document, including placed EPS or PDF file fonts. It also includes Font Vault, a secure font repository that eliminates unnecessary duplicates and provides easy access to a user’s font library.

As a client for Suitcase Server X1, Suitcase for Windows ensures consistent, reliable font use among all members of the creative workgroup, reports Extensis. Suitcase Server supports both Windows and Macintosh Suitcase clients.
