This year's Executive Outlook Conference, held just prior to Graph Expo, will offer two very different views on the JDF debate. The single-day event will feature a debate on the pros and cons of JDF technology; the two doing the debating will be James E. Harvey, CIP4's executive director, and Frank Romano, professor emeritus at RIT in Rochester, NY.

“This debate and other sessions on implementing JDF carry [the conference's] mission to a new level, providing attendees not only with a review of things to see and look for on the show floor, but also providing the background knowledge and analysis to make purchasing decisions based on an over-arching technological development,” says William Lamparter, president of PrintCom Consulting and the event's chair.

Held October 9 at McCormick Place, the Executive Outlook Conference also will provide general and how-to breakout sessions addressing topics ranging from broad strategic views of the industry to focused investigations of specific opportunities created by changing markets or emerging technologies.

Cost to register for this one-day conference is $280 before September 10, $325 after September 10. (Executive Outlook Conference: www.graphexpo.com)
