Esko has added Text Recognition plug-in for Adobe Illustrator for simplified last-minute copy changes. The optical character recognition (OCR) tool converts outlined text in artwork to live, editable text directly in Illustrator. The plug-in is available as part of the Esko DeskPack collection of plug-ins or as a standalone product for anyone using Illustrator. Features include Font Recognition function to automatically identify the original font and Compare function that highlights copy changes with a before-and-after view.
