Ergosoft VariFly is VDP Front-End System

ErgSoft US, LLC has introduced VariFly, its solution for variable-data graphic design and output. A stand-alone application to be networked to ErgoSoft's PosterPrint RIP, VariFly is a cross-platform front-end utility for assembling dynamic and static text, vector graphics, and bitmap images within user-designed templates. Once the graphic layout is designed, VariFly then compiles each image within the job ticket and exports it to the RIP for final output.

Designed for production graphics, VariFly includes features such as: custom layout design; multiple static and dynamic text fields; and automatic text scaling. VariFly also features dynamic job tickets as well as an active image preview to catch mistakes prior to printing. Assembled files can be proofed as a multiple-page PDF on a local or remote desktop for customer approval before final output.

VariFly is available for Macintosh OSX, Windows XP, and Windows 2000. Pricing has yet to be announced. (Ergosoft: www.ergosoftus.com)
