Epson Offers Perfection 3200 Scanners

Epson continue to make higher-performance digital-imaging equipment more affordable. Epson's new Perfection 3200 PHOTO ($399) and 3200 PRO models ($599) both offer maximum hardware resolutions of 3200 x 6400 ppi and 48-bit color. Both models come with Hi-Speed USB 2.0 and IEEE 1394 (FireWire) connections, and a 4 x 9 in. transparency unit for scanning 35 mm slides, negatives and 4 x 5-in. transparencies.

In addition to Epson scanning software, the Epson 3200 is bundled with LaserSoft SilverFast? scanning software and Adobe Photoshop? Elements 2.0 software. The 3200 PRO model also includes Monaco EZcolor 2.5 color-management software, the more robust Ai version of SilverFast, and ArcSoft PhotoStudio, PhotoBase and PanaromaMaker image cataloging and stitching software.
