Epson Launches Professional Desktop Scanners

Epson has launched two new professional scanners: the Epson Perfection V700 Photo and the Epson Perfection V750-M Pro.

The Epson Perfection V700 Photo features optical resolutions up to 6400 dpi (12,800 dpi maximum interpolated resolution), 48-bit scanning with 4.0 dynamic range for transparencies, and a dual-lens scanning system. Designed for professional and advanced amateur photographers, the V700 Photo has an 8.5 x 11.7-in. maximum scanning area and three scan modes: high speed, monochrome, and full-color.

Other features include:
“? Digital ICE and Epson Easy Photo Fix for color restoration, dust removal, and grain reduction;
“? film holders and adapters for many formats, including 8 x 10-in. transparency, 35mm slides, 35mm film, medium-format film, and 4 x 5-in. frames;
“? LaserSoft Imaging SilverFast SE, Adobe Photoshop Elements 3, ABBYY FineReader Sprint OCR, Epson Scan driver, and Epson Copy Utility software;
“? and USB and FireWire interfaces.

Designed for professional photographers and graphic designers, the Epson Perfection V750-M Pro has the same features as the V700 Photo. In addition, it also boasts high-pass optics, has a new fluid-mount assembly to reduce scratch, and Newton rings, and is bundled with Monaco EZcolor software. The V750-M supports black-and-white film scanning as well as color negatives and transparencies.
