Epson Expression 10000XL Scanners

The new line of Epson Expression 10000XL scanners can scan items up to 12.2 x 17.2 in. at 2400 x 4800 dpi (interpolated resolutions up to 12,800 x 12,800 dpi) in 48-bit color. The scanners feature a color CCD line sensor, Windows and Mac compatibility, and USB and FireWire connectivity. In addition, they offer several options, including a transparency unit, automatic document feeder, and network card.

The Expression 10000XL comes in Graphics Arts and Photo editions. Both units offer Epson Scan, Adobe PhotoShop Elements 2.0, Monaco EZcolor, and ABBYY FineReader Sprint OCR software. The Photo edition also has an optional transparency unit for scanning transparencies up to 12.2 x 16.5 in. (offered as an option on the Graphic Arts unit) and a full-version of LaserSoft Imaging SilverFast Ai 6 software–a standalone scanning and reproduction application that offers master tools for scanning.
