Epson Expands Dye-Sublimation Printer Line

Epson has announced three additions to its SureColor F-Series of dye-sublimation transfer printers. Featuring Epson UltraChrome DS ink with a high-density black, the series is designed for creating customized promotional production, soft signage, and cut-and-sew sports apparel, fashion, and home décor. Features include Epson’s PrecisionCore TFP printhead with variable size droplet technology; a take-up reel that is reportedly accurate within 2.5 mm; and, designed specifically for textile printing, Wasatch SoftRIP TX. The series is available in three versions:

• The 44-in. SureColor F6200, featuring print speeds up to 634 sq ft/hr at a max. resolution of 1440 dpi;
• The 64-in. SureColor F7200, featuring print speeds up to 634 sq ft/hr at a max. resolution of 1440 dpi;
• And the 64-in. SureColor F9200, which includes dual printheads and offers minimized maintenance as well as a 3-L bulk-ink system and a refined post-platen heater for faster drying. Prints up to 1044 sq ft/hr at a max. resolution of 1440 dpi.
