EFI has launched the Vutek HS125 F4 and HS100 F4 inkjet printers, engineered to run 50% faster than earlier models, according to the company. The 126-in. hybrid roll/flatbed printers feature eight reconfigured ink channels in a CMYK x 2 setup for printing on banners, billboards, building wraps, out-of-home applications, retail and P-O-P displays, posters, and more. The superwide machines can image substrates up to 2-in. thick, reaching speeds of 225 boards/hr on the HS125 F4 and up to 190 boards/hr on the HS100 F4. Additional features include pin and cure, variable-drop grayscale imaging, an automated six-zone vacuum table, and full- and semi-automated materials handling.
