Fresh gym graphics boost school spirit at Oberlin College.

Oberlin College – a private liberal arts college and conservatory of music in Ohio with alumni including Liz Phair, Ed Helms, and Bill Irwin – wanted fresh gymnasium graphics to kick off basketball season. Enter EclipseCorp, a Gahanna, Ohio-based PSP that got its start as a fashion photography studio and later expanded by offering large-format 2D and 3D printing, as well as design and custom sign fabrication services.

EclipseCorp printed and installed a 94-foot-long, 8-foot-high SEG banner depicting a variety of Oberlin athletes. The shop imaged the 752-square-foot banner in eight panels of Aberdeen Fabrics 8804 media using a PrinterEvolution Eos100 DS printer. The finishing and installation departments worked together to ensure everything lined up flawlessly, including the center logo that fell between two SEG panels. The job was printed and installed using custom-built scaffolding in one week, earning an Honorable Mention in the 2019 Big Picture Best of Wide Format Awards.
