DuPont has ramped up the speed on its largest Cromaprint UV-curable printer and added to its nameplate. The newly badged Cromaprint 22UVse printer ('se' stands for 'speed enhanced') features a 47% increase in print-production speeds over the company's former Cromaprint 22UV. Top speed for the 22UVse is 680 sq ft/hr, as compared to its 463 sq ft/hr previously; quality-production mode speeds now range from 222 to 410 sq ft/hr.

The 86-in. flatbed/rollfed 22UVse continues to offer all of the features as the previous model. The higher speeds come from a combination of hardware, firmware, software, ink, and overall engineering improvements, the company reports.

Current 22UV owners using DuPont Cromaprint UV inks can upgrade their printer's speed at no charge.
