DuPont has released to the digital proofing market its new solution, the DuPont Cromalin Largo. Available in two models–the Largo2406 and Largo 4406–the system is driven by the new DuPont Cromanet CS software-based color output controller that can be updated from the DuPont website, and is designed to produce contract-quality proofs with DuPont ink and specialty proofing media at a more affordable cost level.

Configured as a plug-and-play proofing solution, the aqueous-based Largo series features drop-on-demand inkjet technology with a 2400 x 1200-dpi addressable resolution, rollfed substrates, and DuPont pigmented inks. The Largo2406 is 24-in. wide for 4-up proofing and has a print speed of 103 sq ft/hr, while the Largo4406 is 44-in. wide for 8-up or wide-format proofing and features a print speed of 118 sq ft/hr.

The system includes Largo printer, Cromanet software, ink/media start-up kit, and one-year warranty.
