Dan Marx is assuming the newly-created position of Director of Communications and Service Development for the Digital Printing & Imaging Association (DPI). His main focus will be on developing member services for both DPI and Screenprinting & Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA). Major responsibilities include developing editorial content for the DPI website and the educational program for the SGIA/DPI Conference at the Georiga World Congress Center in Atlanta on Oct. 15-18, 2003.

In addition, Marx wants to help members make the best business decisions and help support them through education and information resources. Michael Robertson, President and CEO of DPI and SGIA, notes that “Our members are becoming 'image managers.' Because they use a wide range of technologies and techniques to address the evolving graphic needs of their clients, our success is determined by our ability to provide up-to-the-minute information on emerging technologies, potential opportunities, and current opinion of industry leaders.” (Digital Printing & Imaging Association: 703-385-1339, www.dpia.org)
