InPrint USA Launches Industrial Inkjet Conference

InPrint USA, a tradeshow dedicated to industrial printing technologies that launched its in Orlando, Florida, last year, has announced the inaugural Industrial Inkjet Conference. The event is scheduled for May 1-2, 2018, at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. Attendees will explore the role of inkjet in manufacturing, including both opportunities and challenges.
Topics will include:
• A look at manufacturing markets that are currently succeeding with the adoption of inkjet printing and how other markets could follow the same pattern
• Trends behind the increasing demand for inkjet technologies: personalization, mass customization, variable data, and on-demand production
• The implementation of inkjet processes as both a replacement and a complementary technology to analog printing
Registration is expected to open at inprintusaconference.com in the late fall.

NPES has released the dates for its next three Graph Expo events: September 30-October 3, 2018; October 13-16, 2019; and October 4-7, 2020. Each event will be hosted at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Smithers Pira's 'Future of Functional and Industrial Print' Report

Smithers Pira has released “The Future of Functional and Industrial Print to 2022” report examining the emerging areas of print outside the traditional graphics and packaging markets. The report includes profiles of leaders in the industrial print supply chain; quantitative five-year global market forecasts based on printing method, end use, and geographic region; and developments in functional and industrial print, including inkjet, printed glass, and printed ceramics.
The report sizes the 2016 global market at $75 billion and expects it to reach $123 billion by 2022 with an average CAGR of 8.3 percent. The authors see this growth as an opportunity for print companies to diversify and for manufacturers to move into new markets.

The Inkjet Conference Launches US Event

The Inkjet Conference (TheIJC), a joint collaboration between ESMA, Digital Direct Technologies, and drupa, has announced the launch of a US-based event next April 12-13 at the Westin O’Hare in Chicago. The organizers report more than 40 percent of the exhibition space is already booked, and 300 OEMs, developers, engineers, chemists, researchers, and brand owners are expected to attend.
Programming will feature presentations from both industry and academic experts on how inkjet technology affects current and future manufacturing processes. Topics include printhead developments, ink components and finished ink, lab equipment for measurement and analysis, curing and drying systems, software electronics and integration, vision systems for inspection and verification, and more.
