AT JUST FAB GRAPHICS in Mt. Pleasant, MI, size doesn’t matter — at least not when it comes to creativity. Owner Lindsay Theisen and her team prove that wide-format creativity knows no limits — transforming platform stilettos into playoff-worthy fan art using high-quality vinyl and meticulous attention to detail.

Known for bold and eye-catching large-scale wraps, the team recently proved its precision and playful spirit on a project that barely spanned one square foot. The client? A die-hard Detroit Lions fan. The canvas? A pair of glitter-themed platform stilettos.

“The customer is a bit of a local legend,” says Theisen. “Her husband owns the body shop across the street from our shop, and everyone in town knows her for her shoes. So, when she came in with a T-shirt that had a similar design, we knew this was going to be something special.”

Theisen and her crew accepted the challenge of wrapping these size 8.5 pumps with custom Lions graphics in celebration of the team’s NFL playoff run. Using Avery Dennison 1105 vinyl and 1360 laminate, and printed on a Roland DG TrueVIS VG3-540 wide-format eco-solvent printer/cutter, the Just Fab experts turned high heels into high art.

The customer’s concept was bold — but executing it was a serious technical feat. The team worked off of that T-shirt design to develop the graphics in-house, with special attention paid to the contours of the heel and toe.

The small-sized project posed big challenges. “The install was very technical and time-consuming,” says Theisen. “Fitting graphics onto such a small and curved surface demanded extreme precision, but our team’s attention to detail really paid off.”

“Our installer Tony Hoeft has been wrapping for more than 18 years, and he even was pumped about this one,” she says. “There were a lot of tricky curves, and we had to make sure the bubbles were totally gone — every detail had to be just right.”

Tony, a dedicated Lions fan himself, brought extra heart to the project, knowing the team’s playoff hopes were on the line at the time. The whole job was installed using premium wrap materials, known for durability and vibrant color, making these shoes just as functional as they are fabulous.

So much so, in fact, that it brought tears to the client’s eyes. “She has a large collection of high-heeled shoes,” Theisen shared. “But when she saw these finished, branded heels with her favorite team design, she cried. It truly was a special moment.”

“She’s kind of a local legend,” said the shop owner. “Her husband owns the body shop across the street from us, and everyone in town knows her for her shoes. So, when she came in with a T-shirt that had a similar design, we knew this was going to be something special.”

The glittery Lions-themed heels may just be the only pair of their kind in the world — and a shining example of how wide-format digital printing can go where few printers have gone before.

This isn’t the first time the shop has gone beyond the basics. In fact, they’ve wrapped everything from utility trailers to beer trucks — even a toilet wrapped to look like a wild turkey for a hunting cabin (with the requirement that it be brand new for the project to begin, of course).

But this shoe wrap? It’s a standout. “It’s one of the most creative and fun projects we’ve taken on,” says Theisen. “It really captured everything we love — design, community, and of course, football.”

Just Fab Graphics, which has been in business for eight years, specializes in vehicle graphics, signage, and unique vinyl installations. The team takes pride in custom work that gets people talking — and this latest job proves their creativity knows no bounds.
