DAZ Productions has acquired Bryce 3D landscaping and animation software from Corel. DAZ has extensive development plans for Bryce, including launching new versions for Macintosh and Windows platforms; it also plans to develop a pathway to seamlessly bring existing DAZ 3D content into Bryce. Further integration with the company's DAZ Studio is also scheduled.

“The acquisition of Bryce fits perfectly into our vision of offering a complete digital-creation suite for the mass market,” says Dan Farr, president of DAZ. “We look forward to a bright future for Bryce in conjunction with our existing software packages.”

Based in Salt Lake City, DAZ specializes in 3D digital-content creation and develops software applications that support this content, including DAZ Studio and DAZ Mimic. The company will assume responsibility for all Bryce customer service, providing full-time technical and sales support, as well as online discussion and technical-support forums.
