DaVinci Designer to Present 3D Proofer for Increased Web-to-Print Sales at Print 17

During this year’s largest and most comprehensive exhibition and conference for the graphic communications industry, DaVinci Designer (DaVinci) will demonstrate its digital visualization tool at Print 17, to be held at McCormick Place in Chicago from Sept. 10-14.

A product of Opensoft Inc., DaVinci equips print resellers and trade printers with advanced design and proofing capabilities that shorten the sales cycle, support upsells and eliminate the need for physical proofs.

“Ordering print products online is not typically an interactive experience,” said Brett Heap, CEO, DaVinci Designer. “DaVinci Designer transforms the process by giving customers visual control over all 360 degrees of the final product from the initial design to the added special effects.”

The software’s cutting-edge designer allows users of all levels to enhance print and packaging designs with foil, spot UV, texture and more. An innovative built-in viewer generates an accurate 3D proof with a full 360-degree preview of variances in lighting, angles and scale.

Instant realistic renderings can be immediately previewed and edited in real-time, effectively replacing the lengthy and costly process of sending hard proofs for approval. Its ability to directly add enhanced effects without requiring a separate layer gives print resellers and trade printers a visual tool to upsell specialty finishes.

DaVinci Designer can be fully integrated into existing e-commerce sites with applications for security printing features, textiles and promotional items. The web-to-print solution powers e-commerce sites like Rent A Press, a wholesale trade printer, and OvernightPrints, an online printing company.
