H&H Digital Products has introduced the
Cyclone UV Liquid Laminator for rolled
and rigid media. Equipped with two UV
lights, the Cyclone laminates up to 50
linear ft/min, quick-dries with the UV lamps,
and allows the user to lay down
a variable thickness of laminate. It is
compatible with solvent, mild-solvent,
UV-curable, and pigmented inksets.

The laminator accommodates two
5-gal containers of liquid laminate, allowing
users to change from a gloss to matte
laminate just by flipping a switch. And,
reports H&H, since it's a self-contained
unit, the Cyclone requires no clean-up.

Able to handle rolled as well as rigid
media up to 2-in. thick, the Cyclone features
a flat area to feed rigid media into the
machine. Feeding and take-up reels will
be offered as an option in late January,
reports H&H Digital Products.

Price: 60-in. model, $56,000; 80-in.
model, $72,000. The Cyclone begins
shipping in February 2006 and uses
H&H Cyclone matte or semi-gloss liquid
laminate.
