Kevin Goeminne, CEO CHILI publish: “We give to get so we get to give.”

As a start-up, CHILI publish, rocked “work hard, play hard” adage. But as the company scaled, they realized they had to “care even more”. For the company, its employees, the market and customers they served. And the generations to come. At trade shows, the company often runs videos and demos on large TV screens, which are cheaper to buy than rent at the show’s premises. Transporting these screens back to the office and store them there until their next use proved cumbersome, so CHILI publish decided to donate them. 

Prior to every show, a local initiative is selected. The screens are purchased, used once and are then delivered to a local institution for educational purposes.  After last year’s #DAMNY, CHILI publish donated a 50inch LED TV to PowerMyLearning, a national education nonprofit that strengthens the triangle of learning relationships between students, teachers, and families so every child succeeds. 

Kevin Goeminne concludes: “CSR is not doing the right thing that’s right for you. It’s about expanding your general responsibility to the outside world, instead of keeping a market tunnel vision. Disruption happens from the outside, that’s the world we want to contribute to. That’s why we give to get – so we get to give.”
