Shoppers taking advantage of Cyber Monday today can buy personalized fashion from Constrvct, a website that allows users to upload images, transforming them into oversized prints for leggings, dresses, and more. The catch? The site’s popularity has forced company owners to make some website upgrades, which has slowed recent orders.

Founded by the self-described “designer/technologist” Mary Huang in New York City, Constrvct is an offshoot of Continuum, a fashion company specializing in 3D printing. Yet its future is uncertain. As Huang recently noted in a Tumblr update: “We received a lot of interest in the product, and people wanted more features (like being able to sell their designs). Supporting such features meant scaling up, especially on the manufacturing side. I made many of the orders that we’ve sent out, and I had hired a couple people for production as we went along. However, building out a cut and sew manufacturing operation does not really meet our vision for the future of fashion.”

Instead, Huang’s eye is on 3D printing. The technique is her primary focus at Continuum, where she sells two styles of print-to-order platform heels, as well as a bikini top, a bracelet, a necklace, and a structured little black dress.
