InteliCoat has teamed up with Valeron Strength Films to offer a new 9-mil high-strength banner media that can be used on wide-format inkjet printers that use either solvent or aqueous inks. Because it is plasticizer-free and recyclable, the material eliminates color shifting, increases shelf life, and reduces the environmental problems associated with using traditional vinyls. The light weight of the material facilitates handling, shipping, and installation. The cross-laminated, high-density polyethylene film that serves as the media's base material was developed by Valeron, which makes the strong, highly tear-resistant films used to produce electric-cord safety labels and horticultural tags.
