Datacolor announced ColorVision PrintFix Pro 2.0. The upgrade to the company’s PrintFix Pro and PrintFix Pro Suite printer-profiling solutions is designed to give photographers and designers new ways to enhance the quality of tinted and black-and-white prints. Features include: a new gray-axis algorithm; advanced profile settings; new soft-proof capabilities (allowing previews of custom profiles and settings before making a test print); and a new curves import function. Users also can build a range of custom printer profiles for differing black-and-white tints. Price: $549 (the upgrade is free for current PrintFix Pro users).
