The X-Press F512 from Chin.E Technologies is a 4 x 8-ft flatbed UV inkjet printer that is paired with the company’s X-Press CNC router. The company is billing the bundled system as a “$100,000 print-and-cut system.” The X-Press printer features six or eight Konica 512M printheads that deliver a 14-pl droplet size and print resolutions up to 1440 x 720 dpi. Both the 6- and 8-color systems print CMYKLcLm, and the 8-color unit also is capable of printing CMYK x 2 or CMYK + white or spot colors. The 8-color printer can output up to 450 sq ft/hr in production mode.

The X-Press Router comes with either a 4 x 8-ft or 5 x 10-ft table and will cut materials up to 2 in. thick. It is driven by Chin.E’s UcanCAM routing software for designing and producing three-dimensional signage.

At this spring’s ISA Expo, the company also showed the X-Press RK512 roll-to-roll UV printer, which is available in a 62-in. model with six heads (CMYKLcLm) or a 120-in.-model with eight heads (CMYK x 2). It has a top production speed of 340 sq ft/hr.
