Mimaki has unveiled the 100 Series of 64-in. entry-level printers, featuring two roll-to-roll inkjet presses: the eco-solvent JV100-160 and the UV LED UJV100-160. The series offers Dot Adjustment System technology for automated alignment and common adjustments to enable consistent quality and repeatability, Nozzle Check Unit, Nozzle Recovery System, Mimaki Advanced Pass System 4, Greenguard Gold-certified inks, and Raster Link 7 RIP.

The JV100-160 utilizes scratch-resistant, fast drying eco-solvent ink offered in 600- or 2000-ml eco-cartridges for applications including photographic prints, vehicle wraps, P-O-P displays, and more. Optional light black and orange ink configurations offer an extended color gamut.

The UJV100-160 leverages LUS 170 UV LED inks for instantly dry graphics and compatibility with a range of substrates, including PVC, fabrics, uncoated paper, and PET films. White and clear ink configurations enable two-layer printing for applications such as backlit and transparent PET films.

Fisher Textiles has revealed two new fabrics for display graphics: GF6050 Super Sonic backlit fabric for silicone edge graphics (SEG) and GF8860 Silver Back frontlit pillowcase display fabric.

126-in. GF6050 Super Sonic soft, sueded knit fabric for vibrant backlit applications is wrinkle resistant, foldable, flame retardant, and NFPA 701 and California Title 19 compliant. DD6750 Super Sonic is a treated version available for direct and UV-curable printing and 197-in. DD6650 Super Sonic is a superwide option.

GF8860 Silver Back 100% polyester, opaque soft signage fabric features white yarns on the face and blended white and black yarns on the back of the fabric to give a silver appearance. No coating on the back enables the fabric to keep its nature stretch and enhance blockout construction for pillowcase displays using aluminum tube frames. Additional applications for the flame-retardant, NFPA 7-1-compliant media include frontlit SEG and step-and-repeat backdrops. DD8800 Silver Back, a treated version, is offered for direct and UV-curable printing applications.

Designed for HP PageWide XL Pro printers, the lightweight rigid media offers high black optical density, wide color gamut and saturation, sharp details and text, low ink consumption, rapid ink absorption, and rapid drying times, the company reports. Fome-Cor Sirius is composed of a foam-centered core designed to pillow when die cut to create a closed edge or 3D embossing effect; Dispa Sirius is engineered with 100% FSC-certified paper and is 100% recyclable.

Applications include P-O-P graphics, menus, posters, window displays, tradeshow exhibits, and more. Offered in 27.6 x 39.4-in. sheets.
