Charrette, the Woburn, MA-based provider of graphic-arts products, has expanded its distribution capabilities into the Mountain States by acquiring Mile High Imaging Supply, the Denver-based company that provides graphics media and equipment as well as technical services to architects, engineers, and graphic designers. Charrette will continue to maintain the Mile High facilities in Denver; no staff reductions are planned.

“The addition of Mile High Imaging Supply increases our product line, our technical support, our geographic coverage, our market share, and most importantly, it allows us to better serve our customers,” says Jack Ford, Charrette chairman and CEO.
Founded in 1970, Mile High Imaging Supply distributes new and refurbished graphics and CAD wide-format equipment, and media, toner and ink supplies for all major printer manufacturers and technologies.

Meanwhile, Charrette also announced that it has become a distributor of Vutek's UltraVu 260 superwide solvent printer.

“The UltraVu 260 complements our solvent printer line extremely well,” says Jim Lally, Charrette's drector of marketing. “We now have a solution for customers requiring higher output and lower running costs than mid range solvent printers currently offer. The addition of the UltraVu 260 to our Mimaki and HP solvent printers allows customer's access to a complete range of solvent printers.”
