Caldera RIP Version 7.2 Introduced

Caldera Graphics has launched version 7.2 of its wide-format RIP solution. The new version features support for the Mac/Intel platform as well as the Mandriva 2007 platform. In addition it features a new white-ink workflow solution that allows users to print with white ink from a spot color, from a contour filling, or from an extra/alpha channel and to preview the result before printing.

Supported printers for white ink are: Durst Rho-600 and Rho-350R, Nur Tempo, Spuhl Virtu, Teckwin TeckSmart and TeckUV, Luescher JetPrint, Zund UVjet-215 and 250, Gandinnovations JETi 3150, IP&I Cube, and Yishan 2407-EB and 2506-DJ.

Printers that have recently been added for support include: ColorSpan 9840uv; Mutoh DrafStation RJ-900 and RJ-901, ValueJet VJ-1204 and VJ-1604; HP Designjet 8000s; Scitex XLjet Premium; Roland XC 540S; SkyJet LittleFairy, UV Flatbed, Old Master, and Synchro series; Seaband K3, KD3, T1, D2, and M3 series; and Yishan Eb, DJ, CA, EA, CF, DI, and EE series (white ink support for EB and DJ models).

Caldera has also added support for Multicam cutters and Summa's PostNet driver, as well as the Barbieri Spectro LF automatic spectrophotometer.
