Caldera to Demonstrate Power of Print Control through Partnership at HeimTextil



Caldera’s presence at HeimTextil 2017 will lead on demonstrations of its specialist textile printing RIP suite, TextilePro, at the major European textile industry event. Taking place at Messe Frankfurt between 10th and 13th January 2017, the show sets the scene for the coming twelve months of interior design and textile trends – areas in which Caldera has extensive experience, having served the print trade for more than 25 years.

Harnessing the power of Caldera’s core V11 RIP suite, TextilePro is compatible with print machinery from all major and most minor manufacturers, giving users the benefit of standards-compliant color management and advanced machine control to reduce errors and minimize waste. TextilePro features an intuitive interface and features that ensure designs and colors are matched throughout production, allowing patterns, variations and repeats to be created simply and efficiently. Supporting an RGB workflow throughout and with intelligent textile-friendly tools for pattern and swatch control, users are able to create full-bleed decorative products, functional textiles, prototypes or high-speed runs of finished articles with ease.

Caldera’s partnership strategy, which was crucial to the development of this powerful software suite, has seen it work hand-in-hand with major print technology names recognized by HeimTextil attendees, including d.gen, Durst, HP, SPG, Veika, Zimmer, Zünd and Kornit Digital. TextilePro will be used to drive d.gen’s Teleios Grande H6, a 3.3m six-color direct-to-textile engine for large volumes, and the Papyrus G5, a highly accurate direct-to-paper printer at 1.85m with a number of drying options. Caldera’s GrandRIP+ will support the HP Latex 3500 at the show, demonstrating how the machine can open up new avenues in decorative wallpapers when used with the right RIP.

Although Caldera provides RIP software for the entire print industry, it has a strong heritage in textiles, and is a leading presence in the evolving home decoration market. The company’s Vice President of Marketing Communications, Sebastien Hanssens, explains: “TextilePro is a specialist version of our core RIP software developed for use by those looking to improve their textile printing workflow, or to adopt digital print technology in their operations for the first time. Because of our background working with printers throughout the home décor, fashion and industrial space, we understand the specific demands for color and media handling these printers present and are best placed to support innovators in this growing market.

“Digital print technology is on the rise in textile production as software like TextilePro allows companies to achieve excellent color management and take advantage of short-run production,” continues Hanssens. “In a splintered market, companies now find it easier to manage their inventory and have the ability to improve prototyping for different market segments. Our partnership strategy allows customers to adopt digital printing with the assurance that they’ll be able to hit the same quality standards they’ve achieved using other processes.”

More than 200 exhibitors from some 28 countries are expected to attend, including international manufacturers, dealers and designers, who will present products and innovations to approximately 70,000 trade delegates. All Caldera products on show at HeimTextil are available world-wide through the company’s extensive dealer and distribution network.
