Bumble Dating App’s Themed Tent Brings Color to Aspen Ski Hill

ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHICS can achieve great results for your brand. The popular dating app Bumble knew this when they asked for a themed tent to be installed at the top of an Aspen Snowmass ski hill. Ink Monstr, based out of Denver, wrapped the Sprung Structure tent located at the summit of the hill to create a bright vibe for the company. The outdoor structure stood 20 feet tall, 30 feet wide, and 60 feet long, and 5000 square feet of vinyl was needed for the project.

The installation was quite challenging for Ink Monstr as the tent was literally hard to reach. To get the scaffolding and materials to the job site, they had to use the ski lift and borrow Snowcats from the resort, on top of fighting through intense winter winds and snow.

The eye-catching yellow wrap was printed using an HP 570 Latex printer onto 3M IJ180CV3 graphic film and laminated with 3M 8518 Scotchcal Overlaminate, which was chosen after several tests to make sure it would adhere to the tent in the frigid conditions and last through the brutal winter. The tent, which bowed at the center and had a rounded ceiling, made the application process difficult as the team had to work with straight lines over curved surfaces. After three days, a blank tent was transformed into an immersive brand experience by Ink Monstr’s talented team.

The yellow Bumble tent was a nice, warm surprise for skiers before they descended down the slopes.
