BullDog Products, the distributor of wide-format specialty media, inks, and coatings targeted at the fine-art and decor-printing markets, has been acquired by Jim Manelski, the company's current president. The new company will be titled BullDog Digital Imaging Products and will continue doing business from its current headquarters in Chino, California. The business was acquired from the company's original founder, John Doe, who will continue to own and operate Harvest Productions, which was an affiliated sister company.

'As an independent company, we will be able to enhance our energy and focus to provide the highest-quality imaging products to a broader market of wide-format printers who seek to produce high-quality art, murals, and photographic imagery,' says Manelski. “Over the years, our affiliation with Harvest Productions has served us well. As a specialty distributor of supplies formed at the infancy of the emerging giclee industry, our entire focus has been on developing, improving, and optimizing the products needed by Harvest and other early pioneers in the digital art reproduction industry.'

Manelski also reports that the newly named company will 'have several exciting new products poised to launch in 2008. This will add to our existing portfolio of BullDog canvas materials–Platinum Dot, Green Dot, Orange Dot–as well as our BullDog Ultra Coating and BullDog Inks. BullDog customers can feel ensured that they will be able to continue to source this family of product, without interruption and with the quality and consistency that they have come to expect from the BullDog name.'

BullDog Products was founded in 1998.
