Artprice Basics Website Lists True Price of Art

Archives include auction results for 306,000 artists

Information on art prices that used to be available only to art-industry insiders is now accessible online to art dealers, galleries, appraisers, museums, institutions, collectors, and any other interested parties. The archives of the Artprice Basics website contain more than 270,000 auction-sale catalogs from year 1700 until today and information on 306,000 listed artists.

A subscription to the Artprice Basics newsletter sells for $8.25/month and provides unlimited searches for information on 3.5 million auctioned artworks. The site also lists upcoming auctions at 2900 auction houses, artist biographies, and art-market insight press releases. (Artprice Basics: www.artprice.com)
